I have wanted to make dolls for a very long time! There are baskets housing sad half finished dolls of every shape and size at my work desk.
After giving up for several months I woke up one morning with a design in my head, 12 hours later I had made my first ever dolly (the young lady in the orange dress above). I am sure over the months to come they will evolve many times but as I am happy with what I have at the moment I shall try to make as many as I can!!
Clothes really are my weak point..I find it very difficult to get my head round the patterns as I have yet to find any pre designed ones. Experimentation is the key at the moment and I am having fun figuring out how to make tiny jackets and shrugs.
These will soon be available as commissions on my Etsy shop and I will be taking orders (hopefully) at The Fibre Festival on the 4th May in Chipping Norton Town Hall.

A more rustic version the previous hearts. I have had a stamp kit for years and only used it for name tags on Christmas presents, I never thought to use them on fabric but they work really well!

They can be found in my Etsy shop here:

Making tiny accessories is fiddly but fun. What could be better accessories for a little bear than a golden crown and a string of pearls!

I made this little bee ornament for our new baby niece Beatrice. It's simple, but its simplicity is what gives it its cuteness in my opinion. I am pondering the idea of making a few and making a little mobile.
Strong contrasting colours are what babies can see best in the first few weeks so I hope Bea has fun gazing at her little bee friend.

Little bears. Loads of colour options again, I am
thinking of changing the design slightly though.
These seem to sell better than anything else I have
made so far! The original design is by Ginger Melon
and although I love them I think I need to simplify
their head design...hhmm we will see what happens.

I love how pretty headbands look
with my daughters curly little locks.
I like to keep these simple as they are so
easy to match with an outfit and
can be customized. Perfect for flower girls...

big and little ones!
